Introducing the World’s first EV School Bus

Challenge

Develop and execute a nationwide public relations strategy for Trans Tech Bus, a relatively unknown conventional school bus manufacturer with very little external communications experience and assist them in launching the first-in-the-world, mass-produced, all-electric school bus.

Execution

We worked with company’s owner and executive team to develop and implement a layered public relations strategy to support the company’s market positioning and sales initiatives. Elements of the strategy included market research, message development, interview coaching, story pitches, media coordination, development and coordination of media events and appearances, production of the company’s promotional video.

Results

We brought Trans Tech Bus and the E-Trans all-electric school bus national exposure and established the company as the leader in the electric school bus market and a relevant participant in the electric school bus discussion across the globe. The company went on to secure sales in New York, California, and South Korea, and is currently one of only a handful of school bus manufacturers selling all-electric school buses in the United States and abroad.

Our efforts resulted in nationwide digital, print and broadcast coverage on outlets such as National Public Radio, Fox News, Wall Street Journal, ABC, NBC, and CBS among others. The coverage also dominated school transportation publications by securing front page coverage in leading industry magazines.
